Second, you need to prepare your salsa ranchera. Place washed tomatoes in a bowl and cover with water up to the rinse. Once the five minutes are up, remove the peppers and onions from the heat source and wipe them down using a towel so they do not stick to each other.

Then, using a food processor or an ordinary blender, puree the salsa ranchera mixture until it becomes a smooth consistency. You can add in additional ingredients such as chopped herbs and chopped avocados if you wish. You can serve your salsa on its own, with tortilla chips, or with your choice of dip. If you serve it with tortilla chips, just place the salsa on top of the chips before serving. If you serve it with salsa fresca, just add the fresca to the middle of the salsa and stir thoroughly.
